Premier League black shirt banned after video clip criticizing Liverpool and Klopp leaked
Premier League referee David Coote was suspended by the Professional Match Officials’ League (PGMOL) on November 11. After a video clip went viral on social media showing him making negative comments about Liverpool and former Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.
PGMOL said the suspension was effective immediately and the organisation would investigate the facts surrounding the clip.

In the controversial clip, Coots used foul language to call Klopp an arrogant German coach and said he didn’t want to talk to him. But with James Milner, it wasn’t so bad. He was still able to approach him with a mask. Later, there was another short clip where Coots told the person filming not to let the clip get out.
The Daily Mirror reported that the clip was confirmed by the person himself, who admitted that it was real and not edited or faked in any way. While PGMOL said it would not comment at this time until the investigation was completed.
